What is Forest Schools?

Forest School is a specialised learning approach which is part of the wider context of outdoor learning.  It occurs in woodland or natural environment with frequency & regularity for the same group of learners over a period of time, it is not a one off outdoor learning experience.

Children learn and play in the natural environment, enjoying activities such as den building, fire making, cooking, bush craft, tool use, orienteering, first aid & keeping safe, knowledge & care of the environment, games, Art and Design.
